January Link-up

Because of the nasty weather, the first Link-up of 2010 was postponed until next Thursday, January 14, at 7:00 PM. If you ventured out to the Village Deli for the Link-up before you saw the notice of the postponement, we sincerely apologize.

This is an important Link-up , because we will be electing Executive Officers and members of the Board of Directors. If you became a member before December 7, 2009, then you are qualified to vote. Even if you are not eligible to vote, however, we hope that you will attend, because we want your ideas. After the election, we will have a brainstorming session to come up with ideas for future Link-ups and other activities.

We will also have visit from Ann Shockley of Big Brothers Big Sisters who will talk about their Bowling for Kids' Sake fundraiser. We have participated in this event two years in a row. Last year we collected $1000 for them. It would be great if we could top that this year.

As usual, we will meet at the Village Deli.

The year 2009 was exciting, and we didn't even have an election to deal with. With the off-year election coming up, 2010 promises to be even more exciting, and DFMC plans to be right in the middle of it!
