Petitions delivered to Bayh

Last Thursday I hand delivered to Sen. Bayh over 230 signed petitions DFMC had gathered at the Bloomington Farmer's Market along with over 2800 names of Hoosiers that had signed DFA's online petition supporting a public health insurance option.

Senator Bayh expressed interest, but stated he would wait to see what came out of Senator Baucus' Finance Committee before he decided on whether to support the public option or not. He went on to say that he was "getting it" from both sides on the issue, but the good news was there was general agreement on 80% of the adminstration's proposals for health care reform.
