DFMC Goals and Objectives for 2009

This list was created by DFMC members at the Linkup on January 8th, 2009. (Names in parens indicate who is "in charge" of each item. My own later thoughts/notes are indicated. -ets/Eric)

Issues:
- Sustainable local agriculture (Eric)
- Credit crisis and foreclosures (Sam)
- Alternative transportation, HSR to Indy
- Voting machines (Dave)
- Find a candidate for Clerk
- Repeal of Kernan-Shepherd (sp?)
- Health care

Public Service:
- Youth outreach (Cathy)
- Food campaign
- BB/BS BFKS (Chaim)
- Party outreach (I think this belongs in a fourth category* -ets)

Training:
- Precinct organizing
- DFA Academy road trip
- Campaign management (local version of DFA Academy? DFMC Academy? -ets)
- Organizing in rural areas (goes with Prec-org)
- GOTV (Eric)

*Operations: (My afterthought was that this seemed to be a separate "meta-category" that actually spans Public Service and Training, but isn't entirely encompassed by either. -ets)
- Party outreach and cooperation
