Saturday, May 24 join local Democrats for a cookout at Democratic headquarters from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Bring a side dish, something fresh from the garden, or a dessert -- the hamburgers, hots dogs, and veggie burgers, and other goodies will be provided. Cost is Adults $9, Kids 6 to 12 years old are $5, and Kids under 6 are Free. This is a chance to get-together for good company and good food, and support the local Democratic party as we move on towards the November elections. Location: 320 E. Third St.

As you've probably heard, more than 10,000 residents of Monroe County cast an early or absentee ballot in the primary. What does that mean for the future of our electoral system? We'll host several guest speakers to discuss this - and we want to hear what you think.

Come early (6:30pm) to order food and share a meal with your fellow progressives.

DFA Corps: Road Cleanup (Rescheduled)

Start: 10:00 am

End: 11:30 am

After being rained out twice, we're going ahead with our Road Cleanup on Saturday.

Meet at the Burger King on S Walnut Street at 10:00am. We'll provide all the necessary supplies.

(DFMC proudly participates in keeping Bloomington clean, and our adopted stretch of road is the busy stretch of Walnut Street in front of Bloomington South.)
