GOALS
DFMC is dedicated to:
- finding candidates among ordinary citizens who have been empowered through education and political action to participate more in our government at all levels;
- leaving no Republican candidate unchallenged;
- instilling into politics a moral influence based on true American values of equal opportunity and justice for all; and
- acting in coordination with the local Democratic Party, Organized Labor, and other progressive groups for the purpose of promoting policies that will bring us a strong community, broad prosperity, effective government, education for all, and a better future.
DFA CORPS
DFA Corps is the Public Service arm of DFMC. As a community-based organization, we are dedicated to serving our community in areas outside of the partisan arena. Some of the services we have performed have included:
- collecting money to buy phonecards for wounded soldiers in VA hospitals;
- adopting a stretch of road in Bloomington in order to keep the roadside trash-free;
- fielding teams in BBBS' Bowling for Kids' Sake; and
- donating used school supplies to the Teachers' Warehouse in Bloomington.
